CAEDA will be hosting its Summer Quarterly Breakfast Meeting for investors and guests on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at the Casper Petroleum Club. Quarterly Breakfast Meetings are an opportunity for the CAEDA investors to hear about new activities in economic development as well as learning about critical community areas such as transportation, health care, education, and others. The meeting will begin at 7:00 a.m. and the featured speaker will be Wyoming Medical Center. They will be sharing new developments within their organization as well as the expansion of medical services within the community. The Consul-General of Japan, Kazuaki Kubo, visited local government representatives and members of the business community during a short visit to Casper. On April 21, 2008, CAEDA hosted a reception in his honor at the Casper Petroleum Club, coordinated in conjunction with Casper local, Mariko Miller, Honorary Consul-General. The Consulate General offices are located throughout the United States. Mr. Kazuaki Kubo represents the Consulate General office in Denver, Colorado. The Consulate General offices are responsible for visa applications, information coordination, and cultural education. They encourage travel to Japan for students and the general public. The Wyoming Contractors Association McMurry Training Center in conjunction with the Casper Area Economic Development Alliance is celebrating the completion of their Classroom Facility with a Grand Opening event on Friday, May 23, 2008, from 11:30 pm – 2:00 pm. Representatives of the Casper Economic Development Joint Powers Board, Wyoming Contractors Association, Construction Careers Foundation, Wyoming Business Council and Wyoming Contractors Association McMurry Training Center will give short presentations with lunch and facility tours to follow.
